When, watching an industrial process that is not working as expected, the boss suggests a functional failure modes effects analysis, the correct response is that of course you had planned to do than next and had better get started now. But somewhere in the office should be a reference to look it up in when the boss is not looking. This one has over 1,000 terms and definitions, with some illustrations and graphs but not details of tests or measures. It does include wise sayings, four to a page in the wide margins. Neither indexed nor cross-referenced.
